Recruiting Section Mission Statement

To recruit candidates who are ethically and morally upstanding and who are most highly qualified for the prospective position. The recruiting section completes screening at the New Mexico Correction Department Training Academy every Tuesday throughout the week in order to fulfill its mission. It recruits Correctional Officer candidates, as well as Probation and Parole Candidates.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a correctional officer or probation/parole officer, review the tabs below for information about the screening process, job descriptions, pay/benefits, disqualifiers, and physical standards.

Complete the online application and take a step towards becoming part of the select few who have what it takes to be a correctional officer or probation/parole officer.
